| Thread | One piece of work in Sidekick. It keeps the conversation, participants, tool activity, approvals, files, and outputs together. |
| Room | A shared place for people, related threads, files, connectors, repositories, and Starts with instructions. A Room has one owner and a set of members. |
| Artifact | A file or other output produced in a thread, such as a document, dataset, image, or code file. |
| Skill | A reusable, named piece of work Sidekick can run on request or from a Scheduled Task. It uses the same tool and policy controls as an interactive thread. |
| Memory | Details you ask Sidekick to remember for later threads, such as preferences or information about ongoing work. |
Tools and models
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Connector (tool) | A connection that lets Sidekick read from or act in another system. Availability depends on your workspace settings, access, and approvals. |
| Harness | The way Sidekick approaches a request and uses tools. Your composer may show a Harness choice when more than one is available. |
| Auto Route | The default model behavior, where Sidekick picks a model for each turn from the approved catalog. See How models are chosen. |
| Approved catalog | The set of models an admin has allowed for a workspace. A person can pick a specific model from this set, or let Auto Route choose. |
Where work runs

Governance
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| User approval | Your decision to allow a tool once, for the current thread, or for future threads. See Governance model. |
| Administrator approval | An additional decision some tools require from a workspace administrator. Sidekick resumes automatically when every required approval is complete. |
| Scheduled Task | Saved work that starts a fresh Sidekick Thread on one or more recurring, one-time, or supported app-event triggers. |
| Nudge | A prompt from the desktop app that brings relevant work back to a person at the right moment. |
People and boundaries

| Workspace | Your company’s Oximy account, including its people, product access, settings, approved tools and models, and history. |
| Member | A person who uses Sidekick to do work within a workspace. |
| Admin | A person who manages workspace settings, model defaults, tools, access, and audit history. |
