Create a Room
1
Open Rooms
Select Rooms in Sidekick, then select New Room.
2
Name the Room
Give it a name. You can also describe what happens there so people know what belongs in it.
3
Add people
Search for people who already have Sidekick access and add the people who should work in the Room. You can also start with a private Room and add people later.
4
Set what new threads start with
Add instructions under Starts with for background, constraints, or working conventions every new thread in the Room should know.
5
Connect Slack, if needed
If your workspace has Slack connected, you can connect an available channel while creating the Room or later from Room settings.
Choose what new threads start with
The Room owner can open Room settings and manage:- People who can enter the Room and participate in its threads.
- Files that should be available to new threads.
- Starts with instructions, connectors, and repositories used by new threads.
- A Slack channel connected to the Room, when Slack is configured for the workspace.
Work with Room threads
Open a Room to see its threads and start a new one. Search the thread list or filter it to work that started in Slack. Messages show who sent them, and approvals show who made the decision. Only the Room owner can change Room settings, archive or delete Room threads, or delete the Room. Deleting a Room also removes its threads from participants’ Sidekick views.Where to go next
